Testimonials

USA Martial Arts has provided my family and I with invaluable self-defense skills and great physical fitness training.  Master Walker and Chief Instructor Tammy Walker are dedicated professionals that are completely devoted to their art and more importantly their students.  The most important side benefit of training at the USA Martial Arts studio is the friendships that we have made with the people that share the same dreams and goals.  It makes training fun every time we go.  The best way to describe the atmosphere of USA Martial Arts is a warm, friendly, extended family where you are always welcome.

As a teacher, Tae Kwon Do offers youth an opportunity to practice self-discipline while building self-confidence and a healthy body.  It is a program that promotes respect for oneself as well as others.  Students are taught to become more responsible for their choices and learn to respond safely to situations that may put them in danger.  Tae Kwon Do teaches harmony between mind and body.

As a parent, and a mother of two daughters, I sometimes worry about the challenges that lie ahead for my girls.  Tae Kwon Do teaches them the self-discipline, confidence, and integrity they will need to develop into successful young women.

Why I go to USA Martial Arts:

1)    I get to spend several hours a week doing something with my (teenage) kids

2)    My children are beginning a life-long habit of getting good exercise

3)    My children are learning respect, self-control, and self-discipline

4)    My children are developing a sense of accomplishment and self-confidence (no need for foolish acts to “prove” themselves!)

5)    We all get many opportunities to lead and to serve as we progress in rank

6)    I can significantly improve my weight, blood pressure, and cholesterol

7)    We all grow in becoming skilled martial artists

8)    It’s fun!

Master Walker and Chief Instructor Walker are patient as well as challenging, providing a great atmosphere for the kids and I to enjoy improving ourselves.  And we get to do it with a great bunch of people.

Five years ago, I started a journey in Tae Kwon Do. Not knowing the extent of physical endurance I could handle, I was told by the Master and Chief Instructor to take one day at a time. As long as they felt I was giving 100% they were behind me. I have never been compared to other students,  but only tested on my capabilities alone. I have not only been taught the different aspects of Tae Kwon Do, but how to focus, to have patience and my endurance is greatly improved.

Today at the age of 68, I have earned my Black Belt. I will continue to train with Master William Walker and Chief Instructor Tammy Walker, as I have much more to learn from them. The Dojang has a friendly and family like atmosphere that welcomes everyone.

For anyone who is considering joining themselves, and/or their family member, you could not train at a better school than here!  I have been a student for two years next month and am half-way to my goal of becoming a black belt.  Over these years I have had, and continue to have the privilege of being trained by the best of the best, Master Walker and Chief Instructor Walker, who are the most talented, skilled, patient, knowledgeable, encouraging and caring instructors that a student could ever have.  It is truly an honor to be trained by these two wonderful instructors.  I have gotten in much better shape over the past couple of years than I ever imagined.  My confidence in myself has grown a lot and I have more self-esteem than I have ever had in the past.  Master Walker and Chief Instructor Walker have encouraged, supported, taught and re-taught, provided seminars, offered a wide variety of classes and times, and provided all the TLC that any student could ever have, and that’s not bad coming from a 46-year-old.  Thank you.
